Top Questions
How do I apply it?
How do I apply it?
Layering: Apply 1–2 thin coats. Each layer should be applied thin - think the consistency of a milkshake.
Detail Work: For figurines and miniatures, add slightly more water to thin the mixture, allowing it to flow into fine details.
The Window: You have a 15-minute working time. Start with thin, transparent-like layers to build a solid foundation. (Slighlty dilute for more time.)
The Finish: Cover it to cure it. To ensure the strongest stone-like finish, lightly mist to rehydrate your work & cover your piece with plastic or a container during the initial curing phase to lock in moisture and prevent cracking.
How does it differ from lightweight DIY concrete mixes
How does it differ from lightweight DIY concrete mixes
DIY works, but thin DIY coats usually slide off or crack. SculptCoat’s polymer-infused blend goes on ultra thin with no sagging, unlike lightweight concrete that needs thick layers or additional steps.
